Amsterdam, January 6, 2025 – Babbage surprises Stichting Jongeren en Kanker on behalf of its employees with a check worth €7.745. As every year, Babbage employees (both internal and external) were given a choice: a Christmas present or a donation to a charity worth the Christmas budget. The choice was met with enthusiasm and more than half of the 350-plus employees chose the charity. This resulted in this wonderful donation to Stichting Jongeren en Kanker.

"At Babbage, people are central. This applies to both the professionals we work with and our colleagues. In 2023, we ourselves lost a colleague to cancer. So when we were looking for a foundation to support this year, we were unanimous in our choice for Stichting Jongeren en Kanker. This organization does great work by supporting young people with cancer and their environment, such as colleagues, during a difficult phase in their lives.,” says Monique van Vliet, Director BD & Executive Search at Babbage. “We are proud that many of our employees have chosen this donation. Together we have reached this beautiful amount with which we want to support the important mission of SJK."

Danny van Uem, Treasurer at the Youth and Cancer Foundation, accepted the check: “We are very happy with this donation that we can use to support our target group. Babbage's choice for our charity unfortunately arose from a sad occasion, but it underlines all the more the enormous impact that cancer has on young patients and their environment. We thank Babbage and all employees for this beautiful donation.
