Babbage supports the More Music in the Classroom foundation with a donation of €5.000

Amsterdam, January 15, 2024 – On behalf of its employees, Babbage Company surprised the Méér Muziek in de Klas foundation with a cheque worth €5.000. As every year, Babbage Company employees (both internal and external) were given a choice: a Christmas hamper (this year musical) or a donation to a charity equivalent to the Christmas budget. The response to the choice was enthusiastic, and more than half of the over 350 employees chose the charity. This resulted in this generous donation to Méér Muziek in de Klas.

“Listening is an important topic for us that is reflected in both the marketing and communications profession and in recruitment. But learning and development are also very important to us,” says Monique van Vliet, Director BD & Executive Search at Babbage Company. “These topics tie in seamlessly with the More Music in the Classroom foundation. We are therefore proud that many of our employees choose to make a donation, which results in this beautiful amount. We are happy that we can support the More Music in the Classroom foundation in their mission to help children develop through art and culture.”

Jantien Westerveld, Director of More Music in the Classroom, accepted the check. “We feel honored that Babbage Company has chosen our foundation as a charity and that so many employees chose to donate their Christmas present,” Jantien says. “A heartwarming gesture that inspires us and with which we will realize many wonderful things in 2024.”

Méér Muziek in de Klas does not focus solely on music. With the program ' Méér Kunst en Cultuur in School en Omgeving ', the foundation shifts the focus to a varied after-school creative offering. This program aims to offer children and young people from all walks of life the same opportunities through art and culture. In doing so, the foundation promotes equality of opportunity in Dutch education, with the goal of providing students with a supportive and stimulating environment in which everyone can unfold and develop their talents, skills, and interests.
