Margot de Graaff wants to work in the heart of society!

Margot de Graaff immediately starts enthusiastically when asked how she came to be seconded via Babbage. 'I worked as a freelancer at a communications agency but it didn't suit me. I like being part of an organization and working together with others, I don't really like working on my own.'

Thanks to Babbage, I get such great assignments at municipalities and other government bodies.

Now, since July 2023, she has been seconded to GGD Haaglanden and can fully indulge herself there. 'I think it is a great organization and I feel at home there. The people are open to new developments.'

Combination of tasks

Margot works as a communications advisor/content creator and she finds this combination of tasks important. 'If you give communications advice and then create the content that goes with it, then that is very satisfying. At the GGD I work with a number of editors to create stories and that works well! We create content for all social media for the GGD, varied and for a broad target group. The GGD gives a lot of room for innovation in communications, they are not afraid of that.' Margot also accepts assignments on her own behalf.

Social relevance

'GGD Haaglanden is committed to the health of all residents of the region. I like that active role, I like to work on concrete goals.'

'I find variety in my work the most important thing. And I find it here! Healthcare is an important social theme and it is very nice that I now work in The Hague, where I live.'

'We coach people internally to also use other types of communication, via images, with a quiz or other game, or through a podcast. That is incredibly fun to do! I also make podcasts for other clients of mine. It is important to bring variation to your messages so that you surprise your audience.'

Happy with Babbage

'I am glad that Babbage is my employer. As a freelancer, I never get such great assignments with municipalities and other governments. Governments enter into agreements with agencies and not with freelancers. That gives me great opportunities. I was also very happy with the guidance and preparation of the job interviews by Babbage.'
