Corporate Communications Specialist

Executive role working on communication strategies, stakeholder management, and advising on positioning, partnerships, and strategic opportunities. A position with significant responsibility, independence, and room for initiative. 

What are you going to do?

As a Corporate Communications Specialist at Generali Participations Netherlands NV (GPN), you are responsible for executing all internal and external communications for GPN, with the aim of strengthening the organization's reputation, visibility, and strategic positioning. GPN, an investment and financing company based in the Netherlands, and the companies under its management belong to the international Generali Group, an insurance group headed by Assicurazioni Generali SpA, based in Italy (Trieste).

As a Corporate Communications Specialist at GPN, you are part of a small CEO Office team and work closely with and report to the Chief of Staff. We offer a position with a high level of responsibility and independence, as well as ample opportunities for personal initiative. There is a strong focus on your development, both professionally and personally. The focus of your work lies primarily on:

  • As a Corporate Communications Specialist, you are involved in executing communication strategies, stakeholder management, and advising on positioning, partnerships, and strategic opportunities;
  • Optimizing internal communication flows, managing communication channels;
  • Anchoring organizational values ​​and inclusivity in communication.
  • Developing and monitoring communication guidelines, standards, and plans to ensure consistent and effective communication;
  • Coordinating training focused on sector content, communication, and cultural awareness;
  • Protecting and strengthening reputation and brand identity, including advice on crisis communication, employer branding, and consistent external communication.

You report to the Chief of Staff and collaborate with other specialists within GPN and the Generali Group. The collaboration within the Generali Group ensures that the work is often international in nature.

We are looking for someone with

  • A minimum completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in Communication;
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of work experience in Communication;
  • Affinity with strategic communication;
  • Excellent Dutch and English writing and speaking skills;

GPN is located in Amsterdam-Zuidoost, in a beautiful office right next to the Johan Cruijff Arena. You will work in a place with plenty of facilities: parking, various shops and restaurants nearby, and Amsterdam Bijlmer station a five-minute walk away.

You will join a close-knit, informal organization of around 30 people, with a pleasant working atmosphere and a high degree of collegiality. The team consists of legal experts, Corporate Finance specialists, Financial Controllers, Corporate Risk specialists, and Tax specialists.

You can do this to expect

  • A gross monthly salary starting at EUR 5.238,63 for a 38-hour work week – with the opportunity to advance to a gross monthly salary of EUR 8.381,80. The starting salary depends on education, knowledge, and work experience. 
  • In addition, GPN offers 8% holiday allowance, a thirteenth-month bonus, flexible working hours, the possibility of working from home, a good pension scheme (based on an average salary scheme) without employee contributions, a reimbursement for working from home, travel expense reimbursement, a laptop, and a smartphone. 
  • Contract based on a 38-hour work week. A 32 or 36-hour work week is also possible.
