Corporate Communications Manager ad Interim

For Pharming Group, we are looking for a interim Corporate Communications Manager who will be responsible for driving the execution of Pharming’s global corporate communications activities across internal, external, digital, and executive communications channels.

Purpose of the Role

The Corporate Communications Manager is responsible for driving the execution of Pharming’s global corporate communications activities across internal, external, digital, and executive communications channels. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications, this role plays a key part in ensuring communications are delivered consistently, effectively, and in alignment with corporate priorities, brand positioning, and regulatory requirements.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced communications professional who combines strong executional excellence with sound judgment, proactive stakeholder management, and the ability to translate strategy into impactful communications initiatives. The role supports the development and delivery of integrated communications campaigns, manages day-to-day communications activities, and contributes to strengthening Pharming’s reputation, employee engagement, and stakeholder visibility globally.

Working closely with cross-functional teams including HR, Investor Relations, Medical Affairs, Legal, Compliance, and Commercial, the Corporate Communications Manager helps ensure communications are aligned, compliant, and audience-focused across all channels.

This role offers visibility across the organization and exposure to senior leadership, while remaining primarily focused on operational delivery and communications execution.

Areas of Responsibility

Communications Execution & Campaign Delivery

  • Execute integrated communications initiatives and campaigns aligned with corporate priorities and communications strategy.
  • Manage day-to-day communications activities, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery across multiple channels and stakeholder groups.
  • Translate corporate messaging and narrative frameworks into compelling and audience-appropriate communications materials.
  • Support implementation of communications plans related to corporate milestones, organizational updates, business initiatives, and leadership communications.
  • Contribute ideas and recommendations to strengthen communications effectiveness and stakeholder engagement.

Internal Communications & Employee Engagement

  • Support the planning and execution of internal communications initiatives that inform, engage, and align employees with company priorities and culture.
  • Coordinate internal events and engagement activities including town halls, leadership updates, employee campaigns, and internal announcements.
  • Partner with HR and other stakeholders to support employee engagement and employer branding initiatives.
  • Help optimize internal communications channels, processes, and content effectiveness.
  • Monitor employee engagement and communications feedback to identify improvement opportunities.

Content Development & Channel Management

  • Develop and adapt content for internal and external channels including intranet, corporate website, newsletters, presentations, social media, and executive communications.
  • Support editorial planning and content calendars aligned with corporate objectives and key business moments.
  • Ensure consistency in messaging, tone of voice, and brand positioning across communications materials.
  • Maintain high standards for accuracy, quality, and alignment with healthcare-related regulatory requirements.

Media & External Relations

  • Support media relations activities including press releases, media coordination, proactive outreach, and external communications materials.
  • Assist in managing external communications requests and coordinating responses in alignment with corporate messaging guidelines.
  • Monitor media coverage, industry developments, and stakeholder conversations to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Support visibility initiatives that strengthen Pharming’s corporate reputation and thought leadership positioning.

Digital & Social Media

  • Manage and maintain corporate social media channels in line with corporate communications strategy and compliance requirements.
  • Support digital communications initiatives that enhance stakeholder engagement and corporate visibility.
  • Monitor digital trends, analytics, and engagement performance to optimize content effectiveness and reach.
  • Ensure digital communications activities align with brand standards and best practices.

Measurement & Analytics

  • Track and analyze communications performance metrics across channels and campaigns.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and insights for communications leadership and stakeholders.
  • Use analytics and engagement data to identify optimization opportunities and support continuous improvement.
  • Support the use of AI-enabled tools and digital solutions to enhance communications efficiency and effectiveness.

Stakeholder & Agency Coordination

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Investor Relations, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Legal, Compliance, and other teams to support communications objectives.
  • Coordinate with external agencies and vendors to support campaign delivery and communications initiatives.
  • Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth execution of communications activities.
  • Support consistent implementation of corporate communications frameworks, processes, and standards globally.

Wij zoeken iemand met

Experience & Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
  • Approximately 5–10 years of experience in corporate communications, ideally within healthcare, biotech, pharmaceuticals, or another regulated international environment.
  • Strong experience planning and executing integrated communications initiatives across internal, external, and digital channels
  • Proven experience producing high-quality content (writing and editing) and storytelling skills with the ability to tailor content to different audiences and formats.
  • Experience supporting media relations, executive communications, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of digital communications and social media platforms, including analytics and content management tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills with the confidence to work across functions and levels of seniority.
  • Proactive, curious, hands-on, and solutions-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Dutch is an advantage.
